Beach Boys - Don’t Talk (Put Your Head on My Shoulder)

This is my favourite Beach Boys song. The structure seems to evolve like the relationship that the lyrics describe. It starts off nicely enough but when you hear the descending bassline mimic the ‘heartbeat’ at the end of the first verse, and the strings coming in shortly after, you realise that it’s more than nice. It’s perfect. Then it’s over all too soon.
